    Frequently Asked Questions

    When can we start set up?

    You will have access to your event space 4 hours prior to the contracted start time and 2 hours after the contracted end time. Additional time may be available for an additional fee.

    We offer valet parking at the main entrance of the hotel. Pricing is based on the length of time the guest is with us. There is no self or public parking available.
    No outside alcohol, food or beverage is allowed.
    All events are subject to a 23% Service Charge and 6% Michigan Sales Tax.
    Your Events Manager will have a backup space reserved in the event of inclement weather.
    In order to guarantee your event booking, you will need to sign your contract and place your deposit. Your Dedicated Events Manager will work with you on the details and due dates.
    Increases or decreases will be charged accordingly and are subject to availability. Guest count changes may affect other event fees.
    Cancellation and postponement information is available in the booking contract. Deposits are non-refundable.
    We are able to accommodate most dietary restrictions with advance notice. Dietary restrictions communicated at the time of the event may not be able to be accommodated.
    We will do our best to accommodate special requests for bar selections. Special requests will be subject to bottle or case pricing.
    Yes! Ask your Events Manager about seasonal children’s options for children under 10 years old.
    Events will be scheduled to conclude by Midnight. Additional time may be added for an additional fee based on availability.
    Your vendors will communicate directly with your Events Manager regarding load in, set up and approved items. Vendors must provide proof of insurance coverage.
    Menu selections are due 30 days prior to your event. Final counts are due 14 days prior to your event.
    The Events Manager is responsible for venue supplied items and set up, ensuring that your food and beverage items are served on time and that your vendors are able to access the facility at their scheduled times. Your Events Manager will oversee the venue operations and is not responsible for any outside services that are contracted.
    You are able to decorate your rented space to your specifications. Nothing may alter any part of the facility or be affixed to walls or ceilings. We do not allow confetti, smoke or fog machines or any type of airborne decor. Candles must be in hurricane holders and the flame must be 3″ below the top. No spark machines.

    We highly recommend retaining the services of a personal coordinator to assist you with the planning and execution of your event. A Personal Coordinator will review vendor contracts, plan your day of timeline, organize all outside services you procure and make decisions regarding your event.

    In the event you do not have a Personal Coordinator, we will need to know who will be your on-site representative on the day of your event. This person will be authorized to approve changes, make adjustments and be the direct line of communication between the venue and the event planner.
